[ARCHIVED] Wilson County Mask Mandate Continues

Lebanon, TN (12/30/2020) – Wilson County follows Governor Lee’s authorization for county mayors to require masks, as restated in the State of Tennessee Executive Order No. 73 effective 11:59 p.m. on December 29, 2020. Governor Lee’s Order remains in effect through February 27, 2021. Mayor Randall Hutto’s directive authorizing the mask requirement continues to remain in effect until Governor Lee withdraws the county mayors’ authority to issue mask mandates.

While wearing a mask is a vital part of the defense mechanism to fight COIVD-19, it’s also important to take care of yourself by washing your hands often, maintain good social distance from others who don’t live in your household, stay home when you’re sick, and get tested if you have COVID-19 symptoms or have been in close contact with someone who is COVID-19 positive.
Vaccines are being administered in Wilson County per the Tennessee Department of Health vaccination plan. We follow this link for current information, and we encourage you to take this opportunity to learn more so you can make your best informed decision about vaccination when the time comes https://www.tn.gov/health/cedep/ncov/covid-19-vaccine-information.html. The arrival of the vaccine brings with it hope, just in time for the New Year. Remember, we are all in this together and we must all do our part to keep ourselves and each other safe.
