[ARCHIVED] Disaster Recovery Update

City of Lebanon Public Services (Works) continues with the cleanup operations from the March 3rd tornado.

City of Lebanon Public Services crews, along with crews from our neighboring cities (Goodlettsville, Gallatin, and Portland) and several volunteer local contractors, have removed approximately 75% of the various debris placed by the street.

The removal process will continue next week. With the current assistance we are receiving and good weather, we hope to complete our initial run through the damaged areas over seven to ten days. We will then advise as to the schedule to make a second run through all areas.

We are requesting owners of tracts greater than one acre and with significant green (tree) waste to plan to burn the green waste. You must contact the Lebanon Fire Department for the proper permit.

If you need assistance with cleanup, including chainsaw crews, etc., please contact the Recover Lebanon 2020 organization. They may be reached through their website ( or visiting them at College Hills Church of Christ at 1401 Leeville Pike Monday through Saturday between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. You may also contact or call (800) 451-1954.

Please note all cleanup services will be performed at no cost to the homeowner.

If you would like to volunteer to help with cleanup tasks, you will also need to contact the Church of Christ organization mentioned above.

Please continue to monitor the City of Lebanon, TN - Public Services, Lebanon Police Department, and City of Lebanon, TN - Government Facebook pages as well as the City of Lebanon website. We will be providing updates at least twice a week. We will plan for Wednesday and Friday. If we receive information that needs to be distributed sooner, we will certainly do so.

Please continue to be patient as we proceed with these cleanup operations.
