[ARCHIVED] Demolition Permit Guidlines

There will be no permit charge.

If the demolition is for a residential property, the permit will be issued at the time of application with an indicated date of when demolition can begin. The indicated date will be three (3) business days after the date of application. This three (3)-day period is to allow all utilities to be disconnected by the appropriate parties.

If the demolition is for a commercial/industrial property, the utilities will be disconnected within three (3) business days of the application date. Contact will need to be made with the State Environmental Office at 615-532-6828 or by the property owner or demolition contactor to obtain a letter of release for asbestos. Once the City of Lebanon Building Inspection Office receives the asbestos release letter, the demolition permit can be issued, and demolition can begin.
