The City of Lebanon Building Inspection Department receives applications for building permits for properties within the corporate boundaries of the City of Lebanon. We review all plans and specifications for commercial construction projects, issue Building Permits and conduct inspections for residential and commercial Construction. Inspections to include but not limited to footings/foundations, plumbing, framing, existing buildings for change of occupancy, and new business licenses. We have a highly trained staff of certified inspectors on board who rountinely provide useful information regarding the city's various codes and ordinances.
Note: We do not permit or conduct electrical inspections. Those are handled by the State of Tennessee deputy electrical inspector. Questions regarding electrical work may be answered by contacting the authority having jurisdiction.
